Olympic Highlights from Tokyo

On last week’s show with E-Dubz and Dee Queen, we discussed highlights from Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. The U.S. team returned home with the most medals out of any other country!

We should be especially proud seeing so many black queens show their amazing athletic abilities. There are three special moments this Olympics that are worth checking out.

First, the U.S. Women’s 400 Meter relay: Four runners take turns running a lap around the track and pass off a baton to each other. It was Allison Felix, who is the most decorated track and field athlete of all time, Sydney McLaughlin, who went to the University of Kentucky, Dalilah Muhammad and Athing Mu, who is only 19 years old! See the full race here.

Second, Seeing the U.S. women’s indoor volleyball team win gold against Brazil! Now For indoor volleyball the U.S. women hadn’t seen a gold medal since 1984! Plus team was a diverse group of athletes. There where white, black, brown and Asian players and they are all gold medalists now! Watch the winning match here.

Last but not least, Symone Biles! She decided to sit out of competing with the U.S. gymnastics team after a few mishaps on the vault because she had what they call the “Twisties”. Fortunately after a few days of rest, she felt able to compete in the individual balance beam competition and won the bronze medal! She is still the G.O.A.T., the most decorated gymnast of all time and no one can take that away from her. Click here to watch her balance beam performance.
